  • Unfortunately I have checked all the obvious things they suggest, but it all seems to be working. One day I realised that the bit that sticks up and through in the middle was loose and if Stos tightened it the machine would spin again but it kept gradually working it's way loose again so I'd tighten it up etc.

Eventually that stopped working and, knowing we had DD2 on the way we decided to just buy a new machine with a larger capacity rather than getting it repaired. It basically keeps putting its brake on can't stoos why so dh has taken it off. It doesn't sound crash hot, but we can at least get some washing done Thanks all.

Posted Sunday 19 January pm. We had loads of issues with our top loader and spinning, One of which there was a problem with the internal taps which weren't letting in enough water so the washing machine wouldn't spin. Another problem was the agitator often came loose so just kind of drian in back into place. Had loads of other problems in general so we now have a new one, a front loader which is a dream.

I just got sick of stressing about it. But after a while when we got sick of shelling out to have it fixed and still having loads of problems when ever we did repairs to that washing machine we just went down to the dump and pulled bits out of other washing machines lol changing parts is kind of straightforward with those top loaders I always thought it was a bit like lego haha!
